We are a family-owned business with a great love of people and coffee. We think The Family Bean is a perfect blend of both!
The Family Bean was established in 2019 by the Maxwell family. They created a great product and even through the C-word, kept it going. Their dedication to great coffee and food is a testament to their success.
In April 2024, Marc & Juli Straub bought the business with a commitment to building upon that success through expanding great product offerings and focusing on the Straub’s love of community. The Straub's previously owned and operated Straub's Jukebox Deli in downtown Chelan (1994-1997) and they are excited to once again be serving the Chelan community (now that the kids can work for them!). It truly is a local, family-owned venture (Juli was born and raised here in the valley). Their children also help out from time-to-time as Katlyn & Teagan are baristas, and Jake & Erick help with product testing and maintenance as needed. The next generation is already engaged as their grandchildren (Michael, Matthew and Raegan) are official donut testers, too!
Our motto, "where community becomes family" is exactly what we want...more family to enjoy time with over a great cup of coffee, a donut, breakfast or lunch. Come on up and sit a spell...you're family!
